PANCRATIUM REBORN 2-(TITLE FIGHT) Ruston Refriedbeans vs. Yuki Kondo

RUSTON can finally call himself the true King Of Pancratium. After months of being the "interim KOP", RUSTON finally became full-fledged champion of the Pancratium organization by beating undefeated hot-shot Yuki Kondo. RUSTON looked on top of his game as he kept the smaller Kondo at the end of his reach and teed off with power-shots. Kondo could never compensate for the reach disadvantage and took a beating. Desperatly trying to take the fight to the ground, Kondo shot in for a takedown that RUSTON easily stuffed. RUSTON then dropped a series of knees onto the head of Kondo that prompted the ref to stop the fight. Though he didnt tap, Kondo didnt protest the ref's stoppage. RUSTON looked on top of his game this fight and could argue his case for being the very best fighter in the world right now.

PANCRATIUM REBORN 2-Giant X vs. Tomohiko Hashimoto

The heavily hyped Giant X turned out to be a marketing disaster for Pancratium. Standing 7"5 and weighing nearly 500 lbs, Giant X was billed as being a future force to be reckoned with. But against Karate fighter Tomohiko Hashimoto, Giant X looked terrible. Showing little in the way of skill, speed or stamina, Giant X floundered around in a sloppy fight before finally smothering Hashimoto for a submission win. Giant X is little more then a circus act for Pancratium who will likely be destroyed against his first solid opponent.

PANCRATIUM REBORN 2-Masakatsu Funaki vs. Pago Pago

Father time may have finally caught up with the legendary Masakatsu Funaki as he suffered a beating at the hands of New Zealander Pago-Pago. Funaki was bloodied early by the much larger Pago but stayed competetive by constantly looking for the submission. Pago was relentless and he beat Funaki from corner to corner. Funaki simply refused to give up as he was dealt a vicious shellacking. Finally at 12:03 the ref halted the carnage and Funaki was visibly upset.

PANCRATIUM REBORN 2-"Badass" Cody Bass vs. Mohommed Yone

In a sharp contrast of styles, Battlearts star Mohommed Yone took on MMA star Cody Bass. Realizing that he couldnt match Bass in a traditional fight, Yone came out using pro-wrestling techniques much to the delight of the fans. Bass was caught off guard and was put in several embarassing holds early in the fight. Yone's antics did little more then entertain the crowd as eventually Bass was able to swing the tide in his favor with his wealth of "real fight" experiance. A hard right hand left Yone out on his feet and the low kick that followed broke his leg. It was chilling ending to the fight as Yone was taken away on a stretcher. Bass is known for his bone-crushing KO power and he immediately called for a fight with KOP RUSTON.

PANCRATIUM REBORN 2-Tadanobu Asano vs. Kala Alexander

After his sempai was defeated by Kala Alexander, Tadanobu Asano requested to fight him. Asano came out in a rage and was a bit wreckless in the opening seconds of the fight. Both men landed some serious bombs but Asano broke Alexander's nose just moments into the fight. Alexander managed to land a few punches that no doubt would have knocked out most fighters. Asano simply walked through them and delt Alexander a vicious beating. It took just 5:54 for Asano to brutally knock Alexander out cold. Pancratium may very well have the native franchise prospect they have been looking for with Asano. It will be interesting to see how carefully management moves Asano's career along.

PANCRATIUM REBORN 1-(KING OF PANCRATIUM TITLE FIGHT) Ruston Nachosbellgrande vs. Kenichi Yamamoto

Last minute sub Kenichi Yamamoto gave current KING OF PANCRATIUM RUSTON all he could handle before finally succombing to knee strikes. Yamamoto exploited RUSTON's weak grappling skills and tied him up in knots. Were it not for Ruston's 40+ lb advantage, he would have very likely been submitted. As it stood however, he was able to power his way out of Yamamoto's submission attempts and finally batter him into submission.

PANCRATIUM REBORN 1-Enson Inoue vs. Yuki Kondo

Pancratium fight fans were treated to an epic battle as local hero Yuki Kondo got off the canvas to beat Japanese/Hawaiian star Enson Inoue. The two men showed mutual respect for each other before and after the fight but fought with murderous intentions for 12 minutes. The two went toe-to-toe with Kondo gaining an early edge. Inoue came back strong and dropped Kondo with a sledgehammer of a right hand. Kondo beat the count and Inoue was too fatigued to follow up. Kondo cranked it up and dropped Inoue with a flying knee. Inoue barely beat the count but was woozy and fatigued. Kondo easily took him down and armbarred him at 12:10 ending the fight. Inoue doesnt always win, but his fights are guaranteed excitement.

Hawaiian brawler Kala Alexander scored a big win over veteran Minoru Suzuki in a mild upset. The ALOHABRAWL star unloaded his vaunted right hand over and over on Suzuki nearly knocking him out each time it landed. Leery of trading strikes, Suzuki resorted to sloppy shoots and wild dropkicks. Alexander managed to stuff Suzuki's takedown attempt and slap on a tight guillotine choke. Suzuki was forced to tap out and suffered an embarrassing submission loss.

After mixed success in ALOHABRAWL, Hirotaka Yokoi decided to try his luck in the Pancratium organization. Unfortunately his luck ran out when he was matched up with legendary shootwrestler Masakatsu Funaki. Funaki absolutely took Yokoi to school in this bout. Picking him apart on his feet then grappling circles around him on the mat. Yokoi's Judo skills kept him somewhat in the match but he was severely outclassed by Funaki who stopped him with punches around the 10 minute mark.

With the two longest shots in the tournament meeting in the finals, fans were divided as to which underdog to cheer for. The local crowd stood firmly behind Enson Inoue but internet forums were going crazy buzzing about the "new Zack Hefner"....Hefner would use the same strategy the he had used against Kaleo Hamano and again he found success. Busting open Inoue early with a punch, Hefner slammed the bloody Inoue to the mat over and over in the 1st round. Inoue hung tough and had Hefner hurt on several occasions. The 2nd saw Hefner continue to wear Inoue down with big takedowns and slams and occasionally try for the submission. Late in the 3rd round a suplex from Hefner was enough to convice Inoue's corner to stop the fight. Zack Hefner had won the ALOHABOWL in an inspirational fashion. Though some may point out the different rules possibly affecting outcomes, theres no question that Zack Hefner has to again be considered among the very best fighters in the world.

With all the of the other local fighters out, the old warhorse Enson Inoue found himself carrying the flag of Hawaii. Although he had already beaten Cody Bass once in the past, few expected him to duplicate the feat again. Inoue came out with pure guts and willed himself to win against a younger, larger opponent. Inoue finished off Bass in the 3rd round with punches from the mount buying him a ticket to the finals.

In the biggest upset of the night, Zack Hefner reinvented himself against ALOHABRAWL Champion Kaleo Hamano and scored a big win. Hefner abandoned his usual shoot-style and went for takedowns, slams and suplexes and took the champ completely off guard. Hamano rocked Hefner plenty of times but found himself slammed into the canvas over and over again. In the 3rd round Hefner picked Hamano up and dropped him on his shoulder ending the fight. The longest shot in the tournament Zack Hefner finds himself in the finals.

Though Cody Bass is not widely considered to be the "best" fighter in the world, there's no question that he is among the "most fun to watch". Showing absolutely no regard or respect for RUSTON's reputation as King of Pancratium, Cody Bass came out and simply kicked his ass. The fight was all Bass from the opening bell as he battered the Brazilian fighter from head to toe with bone-cracking punches. Had the rounds been the standard 5 minutes instead of 3, there's no question that RUSTON would have been KO'd in the 1st. As it was a brutal knee followed by a right hand put RUSTON down and out. After his recent war with ALOHABRAWL Champion Kaleo Hamano, Bass should find a bit of redemption with this HUGE win over PANCRATIUM Champion RUSTON.

Veteran fighter Zack Hefner got a chance to meet one of his pro-wrestling idols when he met Japanese shootwrestler Kazushi Sakuraba in ALOHABRAWL. With similar style, Hefner and Sakuraba were able to put on a good show for the crowd and an entertaining fight. Hefner's experiance in MMA proved to be the difference in the 3rd round when dropped several knees onto Sakuraba's head prompting the ref to stop the fight. Though it was clear that Sakuraba was not hurt and not tapped, the decision stood and Hefner moved on to the semi-finals.

Local boys Kaleo Hamano and Kala Alexander clashed in a fight that could have just as easily taken place on the sandy beaches of the North Shore as it did in ALOHABRAWL. Despite the shorter rounds of the tournament format, this fight had all the blood and guts of a normal show's fight. In the end it was current ALOHABRAWL Champion Kaleo Hamano who came out on top knocking out the super-aggressive Kala Alexander in the 3rd round.

The main event of the night left no one disappointed. Local hero Kaleo Hamano faced his toughest test against KO artist Cody Bass. Experts wanted to see if Hamano's chin would hold up against the nuclear fisted Bass. Hamano's chin proved to be sturdy time and time again as Bass landed some earth-shattering punches in the 1st round. Hamano abandoned his typically "counter-punching style" and went balls-out against Bass doing plenty of damage himself. There was no shortage of violence in the 1st round and the crowd was on their feet for the full 5 minutes. Hamano managed to steal the 1st round on the scorecards by dropping Bass to his knees with a vicious combination with just seconds left. The 2nd was a carbon-copy of the 1st with both men going for absolute-broke. Bass landed punches that would kill an average man but Hamano simply walked through them. Bass began to lose steam and Hamano managed to dominate the latter part of the 2nd round. The bell ended with both men breathing heavy and the crowd screaming. The 3rd opened with a rejuvenated Hamano bouncing on his feet like Sugar Ray Leonard. Hamano dipped in and unloaded a picture-perfect left-hook that flattened Bass ending the fight. The crowd erupted and Bass had proven himself in a war fitting of his older brother's career.

Undefeated local fighter Chris Taloa took on undefeated Brazilian fighter RUSTON in one of the best fights in the history of ALOHABRAWL. Currently reigning as the interim King Of Pancratium, RUSTON was warned by Pancratium that he would be stripped of his title if he continued to fight in ALOHABRAWL. Shortly after this fight, Pancratium congratulated RUSTON and apologized for their stern warning. Ruston survived and all-out war with the talented Taloa. The 1st round saw both men going toe-to-toe on their feet with neither man gaining a clear advantate. The 2nd saw Taloa take control and it looked as if he might finish RUSTON but the round ended saving him. Taloa was clearly exhausted in his corner between the 2nd and 3rd round. When the 3rd round started, RUSTON quickly took Taloa down and applied a rear-naked choke that forced him to tap. Ruston had managed to survive a close call and kept his unblemished record intact.

For Alexander it was a bit of redemption as he himself had recently suffered an embarassingly quick KO loss in similar fashion and this win should give him all the confidence he needs.

Veteran fighter ZackHefner attempted to get back on the winning track against local beach boy Kelly Kanakoa. The fight started fast with Kanaokoa letting his fists fly from the bell. Kanakoa unloaded barrage after barrage of punishing punches that had Hefner reeling and constantly on defense. Kanakoa never relented and Hefner was never able to get enough momentum going to shift the tide. Kanakoa won the 1st round by a landslide as Hefner returned to his corner covered in blood. Hefner courageously came out swinging in the 2nd but it was an unwise move against the lightning quick, power punching Kanakoa. A devastating combination of punches at 2:02 of the 2nd round buried Hefner and the fight was over.

ALOHABRAWL 4 (The War At The North Shore) Kala Alexander vs. Hirotaka Yokoi

With both Kala Alexander and Hirotaka Yokoi coming off their first career losses, this fight had redemption written all over it. In a fantastic fight, Kala Alexander barely bested a very game Hirotaka Yokoi in 2 rds of non-stop action. Alexander had to get up from numerous slams and Judo throws before he finally was able to land his big right hand and knock Yokoi out. Yokoi had Alexander in trouble numerous times but was never quite able to finish him off. Alexander needed to look good in this fight after seeing his reputation on the island severely crippled by a vicious knockout loss at the hands of Cody Bass.

ALOHABRAWL 4 (The War At The Shore) Chris Taloa vs. Zack Hefner

After WOLFPACK leader Kala Alexander was brutally KO'd by SHOOTING STARS fighter Cody Bass, the PACK vowed revenge. Chris Taloa would be making his pro debut against SHOOTING STARS owner Zack Hefner of all people. The fight started out slowly with Hefner looking lethargic and Taloa looking nervous. The fight started picking up halfway through the 1st round with Taloa landing solid lowkicks that were clearly bothering Hefner. Hefner managed a sloppy takedown followed by an armbar but a sweaty Taloa easily slipped out. A lowkick to the thigh dropped Hefner and Taloa stomped on Hefner's head to end the 1st round. As Hefner came out for the 2nd his leg was bruised with giant welts from Taloa's low kicks. Hefner frantically tried for a takedown but Taloa continued to peck away with low kicks avoiding the takedown. Hefner finally took the fight to the ground but Taloa managed to catch him in a kneebar. Hefner tried to escape but rolled against the side of the cage which gave Taloa the opening he need to hyper-extend the joint. Hefner had no choice but to tap suffering a tough loss. Taloa is a genuine talent but again it has to be asked if Zack Hefner is spreading himself too thin by fighting so much.

ALOHABRAWL 4 (The War At The Northshore) "Badass" Cody Bass Vs. Enson Inoue

After scoring a quick KO in his ALOHABRAWL debut, Cody Bass had jokingly declared that the competition in Hawaii was much softer. Apparently Hawaiian legend Enson Inoue "didnt get the joke". Inoue immediately challenged Bass to a fight but ironically it was Inoue that needed the win more. Inoue's career has stagnated since coming to ALOHABRAWL and he was in need of a big win to re-establish himself among the sport's best. Showing absolutely no respect for Bass's hyped KO power, Inoue smothered him from the start. Without the ability to stick-and-move, Bass was in immediate trouble. Inoue continued the heavy assault and Bass never found his stride in the 1st round. With the exception of a few stray right hands, Bass was also impotent in the 2nd round. Inoue kept constant and relentless pressure on Bass and finally KO'd him with a flurry of punches in the final seconds of round 2. A tearful and joyous Inoue celebrated his biggest win in years much to the delight of the partisan crowd.

ALOHABRAWL'S TOYS-FOR-TOTS CHARITY SHOW

Alohabrawl put on a special charity show for "Toys For Tots". In an amazing show of generosity, all of the proceeds from the show were donated to charity and all of the fighters agreed to fight for free. In an additional show of charity, SHOOTING STARS promoter Zack Hefner agreed to loan some of his talent to ALOHABRAWL for the show. Over 100 underprivileged children were invited to the show and ALOHABRAWL champion Kaleo Hamano spent the afternoon with the children showing them MMA techniques and eating lunch. The show itself featured some great matchups worthy of a traditional ALOHABRAWL show.

The opening match saw Shooting Stars president Zack Hefner clash with undefeated Japanese star Hirotaka Yokoi. It was a make-or-break match for Hefner who had seen his career begin to spiral downward. The first round was toe-to-toe with both men scoring heavily. Hefner managed to collect the "W" with a big slam in the 2nd round that gave Yokoi his first loss. It was a big win for Hefner who showed he still has plenty left in the tank.

Local badboy Kala Alexander found himself on the wrongside of a beatdown against SHOOTING STARS top contender "Badass" Cody Bass. Showing off his famous heavy hands, Bass flattened Alexander in less then 2 minutes of the 1st round.

Match 3-Mike Otto (Wrestling/USA) vs. Tomohiko Hashimoto (Karate/Japan)

After nearly 5 years in retirement, MMA editorialist Mike Otto made a succesful return to the ring against Japanese Karateka Tomohiko Hashimoto. Otto struggled to shake off the ring rust but managed to stop Hashimoto in the 2nd round.

ALOHABRAWL champion Kaleo Hamano had a tougher then expected title defense against New Zealand wildman Pago Pago. Hamano managed to stop Pago in the 2nd round of a rousing scrap that definitly had ALOHABRAWL promoters nervous.

Shooting Stars Tournament FINAL-Donnie Emerson vs. "Badass" Cody Bass

The finals of Shooting Stars 1st tournament was a violent affair. Fans and experts had already pegged "Badass" Cody Bass as the future franchise of the organization. Donnie Emerson obviously was unaware of these plans as he wasted no time in taking apart the golden boy. Taking a chapter out of his days as a bouncer, Emerson elected to turn this fight "street" and not get in a boxing match with the talented Bass. Emerson quickly took Bass down and proceeded to elbow, headbut, gouge and dig his chin into the eye socket of bass. Bass was mauled badly before managing to escape and bring the fight back to their feet. The badly bloodied Bass was unable to see punches coming from his left side and Emerson exploited this weakness badly. A lowkick followed by a straight right hand violently knocked Bass unconcious and the fight was over. Though the crowd had initally been behind Bass they warmed up to Emerson as he too is a local product. With this win, Donnie Emerson becomes Shooting Stars 1st World Champion and he definitly has to be considered in the same class as ALOHABRAWL Champion Kaleo Hamano. Though he didnt win his own promotion's tournament, Zack Hefner definitly has a winner with his new promotion. Donnie Emerson is a talented and marketable champion and Hefner has chosen the right region to market his promotion.

Shooting Stars Tournament Semifinals-"Badass" Cody Bass vs. Skyler Foster

With both men coming off destructive knockouts, the Cody Bass/Skyler Foster fight was highly anticipated. Both men came out firing but it was quickly apparent that Bass was much quicker on the draw. Landing stinging pin-point combiations, Bass had Foster in trouble early in the 1st round. Foster sensed his demise and began looking for the takedown. Bass easily avoided the takedowns and landed a concussive right hand that dropped Foster for the count. Foster beat the count and then absorbed a hellacious beating for several minutes before finally tapping out in the 1st round.

Shooting Stars Tournament Round 1-Yoshiki Takahashi vs. Skyler Foster

Pancrase and ALOHABRAWL veteran Yoshiki Takahashi took on another local fighter Skyler Foster in the final fight of the tournament's opening round. Despite giving up over 50 lbs, Takahashi looked great early on outworking Foster in both the standup and on the mat. Takahashi continued to get the better of Foster but was unable to do any serious damage. Foster was clearly frustrated and began lobbing wild bombs. Takahashi let his guard down for a split second and a wild right hand landed flush on his chin. Takahashi dropped as if shot and the fight was over. Despite looking sloppy, Foster showed some heavy hands and his semi-final match with the equally heavy-handed Cody Bass will be a shootout.

Shooting Stars Tournament Round 1-"Badass" Cody Bass vs. Gerard Gordeau

Dutch veteran Gerard Gordeau took on local fighter "Badass" Cody Bass in our 3rd fight. With Gordeau's extensive kickboxing, Savate and Karate credentials, it was a bit surprising that Bass elected to stand and trade with him from the start. Bass showed great boxing skills, landing cracking combinations and counters. Bass was patient and picked his spots carefully. Gordeau broke through a few times and landed some vicious stomps and kicks but Bass weathered the storm. Towards the end of the first Bass unloaded a nuclear bomb of a right hand that flattened Gordeau leaving him out cold. It was a chilling one-punch KO that instantly made Bass a fan favorite.

Shooting Stars Tournament Round 1-Enson Inoue vs. Donnie Emerson

After an unsuccesful bid at the ALOHABRAWL title, Enson Inoue elected to try his hand in Shooting Stars. Inoue would face off against local fighter Donnie Emerson. Emerson is well-known among local fans for being a bouncer at a local biker bar. In typical Enson fashion this fight was an all slugfest. Both men came out swinging wildly with Enson taking an early edge. The larger Emerson came back strong and had Enson in serious trouble early in the 1st round. A big knee dropped Enson for a count on 8 and it looked like it would be an early night for the Hawaiian legend. Enson managed to dig deep and came back strong to finish the round. Enson came out again strong in the 2nd and dropped Emerson with a right hand and stomped on his head. Emerson took a count and got up and promptly dropped Enson with a right hand in return. Enson got up slowly and Emerson quickly took him to the mat. Emerson began raining down punches from the mount and Enson's corner threw in the towel. Once a dominant force in fighting, Enson has definitly lost a step or two. Though his fights are always exciting, Enson will likely never wear a title belt in Shooting Stars, Pancratium or ALOHABRAWL.

SHOOTING STARS TOURNAMENT ROUND 1-Zack Hefner VS. Dan Bobish

The opening fight of Shooting Stars debut tournament saw promoter Zack Hefner take on American veteran Dan Bobish. Hefner had been extremely active as of late having fought recently in Hawaii and China after a long layoff. Between so many fights and now promoting an organization, perhaps Zack Hefner had spread himself too thin. Hefner was overwhelmed by Bobish from the opening bell and never seemed in the fight. Aside from a couple of half-hearted submission attempts, Hefner was on defense the entire fight. Bobish easily overpowered Hefner and dropped him 3 times in the 1st round prompting the ref to stop the fight. Hefner may want to focus on promotions or focus a bit more in the gym.

Zack Hefner starts new promotion!!!

Former World Champion Zack Hefner recently announced the formation of his new Shootfighting promotion based out Oklahoma. Hefner has competed all over the world under nearly every rule format and has designed the Shooting Stars Promotion based on his experiances. "I feel that we will provide fighters with the fairest and safest format to find under". Hefner will be promoting his shows out of the Kalamazoo Community College in Oklahoma and is planning on using his promtion as a grass-roots breeding ground for young American fighters. Aside from Zack Hefner himself, no word on any other fighters for the debut show. Stay tuned!!!

KUOSHU WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN CHINA!!!!

For the 1st time ever, Communist China has let foreigners compete in one of it's Kuoshu events. Inspired by the success

of events like PANCRATIUM and ALOHABRAWL, the Chinese Sports Government has formed the Chinese Shootfighting Association. The Chinese government demanded that all events comply with traditional Chinese Kung Fu so all events were held on a Lei Tai platform. Like modern MMA, there are very few rules in Kuoshi Lei Tai fighting. The biggest difference in Lei Tai fighting is that a fight can be won by throwing your opponent off the platform. This adds a very different element to Lei Tai fighting and makes for some interesting fights. Although the debut event was only a four-man tournament former World Shootwrestling Champion Zack Hefner was invited to participate. Hefner had recently returned to the fight world after a 1 year hiatus and had succesfully won a fight in Hawaii. This would be an altogether different experiance for him fighting under Kuoshu rules in China.

Match 1-Mongolian King (Mongolian Wrestling/Mongolia) vs. Zack Hefner (Shoot/USA)

It was clear that the Chinese government did NOT want Zack Hefner to win this event as they put him in the ring with the 7 ft tall Mongolian King for his 1st fight. With a strong background in Mongolian style wrestling the King would be difficult for Hefner to out muscle. Mongolian King came out strong and threw the much smaller Hefner around like a rag doll. Hefner quickly tried to lock on an armbar but could not secure it. Mongolian King continued to batter Hefner with stomps and punches while Hefner tried desperately to secure some sort of submission. Hefner went for a flying knee but was caught by the Mongolian King who then proceeded to dump him out of the ring. Immediately winning the fight. Disgusted with the rules and losing in this fashion, Hefner stormed out of the arena and challenged the Mongolian King to fight him in ALOHABRAWL.

Match 2-Pan Song (Sanda/China) vs. Liu Hai Luong (Sanda/China)

Former King Of Sanda Liu Hai Luong saw his debut in the CSFA spoiled by another 7 footer Pan Song. With both men experianced in Lei Tai fighting this match prooved to be a good one. The much smaller Liu Hai Luong used his speed to land better strikes in the standup but his lack of groundskills hurt him when the fight hit the mat. The much bigger Song was able to secure a choke and tap Luong out.

Match 1-Mongolian King (Mongolian Wrestling/Mongolia) vs. Pan Song (Sanda/China)

The final looked like an NBA match as the two 7 footers clashed in the finals. It quickly was clear that Song was the much better fighter as he battered the Mongolian King from the start. Song showed non-stop aggression and decent technique before finally forcing the submission from punches. The Chinese fighters are a little raw in technique but have no lack for enthusiasm. It will be exciting to see more events from China and hopefully we can see their new champion Pan Song fight in the US or Japan.

ALOHABRAWL III-TITLEBOUT-Kaleo Hamano (Freestyle/Hawaii) vs. Enson Inoue (BJJ/Hawaii)

The highly anticipated mega-fight between 2 of Hawaii's most famous fighters left no-one disappointed. When Kaleo Hamano met Enson Inoue in the cage the result was pure violence. Both men came out with guns blazing and neither man took a step backwards. Inoue's experiance took the lead as he was able to land the better punches and outgrappled Hamano on the mat. Hamano hung in and rocked Inoue on several occasions. The end of the 1st saw both men still unloading with Inoue ahead on points. Hamano came out in the 2nd with a flying knee that busted Inoue wide open...With Inoue bleeding profusely, Hamano began unloading everything he had rocking Inoue badly. Inoue was reeling and Hamano began looking for the payoff. In an amazing show of moxie, Inoue turned the tide and had Hamano on wobbly legs after a big right hand. Hamano seemed on the verge of being knocked out but the blood in Inoue's eyes seemed just enough to keep him from landing the finishing punch. A bloody and exhausted Inoue clinched Hamano and found himself being lifted and slammed on the mat. The combination of the impact of the slam, the cut and exhaustion left Inoue on the mat and the fight was over. A joyous Hamano burst into tears as he celebrated a career defining win.

ALOHABRAWL III-Taiyo Kea (Pro-Wrestling/Hawaii) vs. Hirotaka Yokoi (Judo/Japan)

Undefeated fighters Hirotaka Yokoi and Taiyo Kea clashed in a wild brawl that showcased both men's skills. The 1st round was hard fought but it was clear that Yokoi was a more skilled fighter. Kea had a ton of heart and kept the fight interesting in the 2nd round. Yokoi's strong punching continuously rocked Kea and his strong Judo throws had Kea logging plenty of frequent flier miles. Kea managed to survive the 2nd round. In the 3rd round Yokoi still looked fresh and Kea looked ripe for the kill. An Olympic-caliber Uchimata launched Kea and left him on the mat dazed and the ref stopped the fight. It was a solid win for Yokoi and he has to be considered for a title shot.

ALOHABRAWL III-Pago Pago (Streetfighting/New Zealand) vs. Zack Hefner (Shootwrestling/USA)

After several years in retirement, former World Shootwrestling champion Zack Hefner made his return to sport fighting against New Zealand wildman Pago Pago. Hefner wasted no time in taking the fight to the mat and began pummeling Pago Pago on the mat. Hefner showed no signs of rust as he transitioned smoothly from strikes to submission attempts. Towards the middle of the 1st round a headbut from Pago Pago busted Hefner wide open and the tide quickly turned. Like a shark, Pago Pago pounced on his bloody prey with looping punches and sloppy kicks. Hefner managed to lock on an armbar towards the end of the round and just as it looked like the arm would break the 1st round ended. Again wasting no time in the 2nd, Hefner rushed out and took it to his opponent. A double-leg pickup followed by a big slam knocked the big Islander out and Hefner was officially back in the winner's circle. With the talent pool bulging at the seams, Hefner will find plenty of fights here in ALOHABRAWL.

ALOHABRAWL III-Kala Alexander (Freestyle/Hawaii) vs. Yoshiki Takahashi (Pancrase/Japan)

Kala Alexander is notorious on the island of Hawaii for his role as enforcer/leader of the Wolfpack which is Hawaii's most feared surf gang. Though plenty of fans came to this fight to cheer for the local boy, there was definitly a lot of people in the audience perhaps "wronged by Alexander in the past" who came to see him lose. Alexander would have his hands full against veteran Japanese shootfighter Yoshiki Takahashi. Both men came out throwing bombs and it was clear the Alexander was not up against some untrained surfer on the beach. Alexander showed some true skill and proved he was more then just a bully but Takahashi was giving him the fight of his life. The bell ended round 1 and both men continued brawling wildly. It took both corners to separate the two men. Round 2 opened up with more of the same wild action. Both men were bloodied and bruised and neither man took a step back. A wild right hand from Alexander staggered Takahashi and a pair of left-hooks put him down and out. Alexander collapsed to the mat exhausted. After the fight Alexander called out old Wolfpack rival RUSTON and demanded they settle their beach score here in ALOHABRAWL. It will definitly be fireworks and mainevent material when RUSTON and Kala Alexander clash.

Hawaii's new sports sensation ALOHABRAWL announced their 3rd show. In a huge main event, Hawaiian fighting legend Enson Inoue will challenge Kaleo Hamano for the ALOHABRAWL titlebelt. The Inoue and Hamano families go way back but it will be all business in the ring. Also announced is the professional fighting debut of Wolfpack enforcer Kala Alexander. The Wolfpack is a notorious surf gang that runs the waves of Hawaii's north shore. Alexander is well known on the island for his streetfighting ability and has actually trained in MMA for many years. This will be his first time in a professional fight and certainly their will be plenty of locals eager to see him fight.

ALOHABRAWL II-TITLE FIGHT-Match 5-Kaleo Hamano (Freestyle/Hawaii) vs. Tom Howard (Pro-Wrestling/USA)

Local boy Kaleo Hamano got the chance to defend his newly minted ALOHABRAWL title belt against veteran pro-wrestler Tom Howard. Howard has competed in all kinds of fighting events around the world and would prove to be no pushover. Hamano looked gunshy in round 1 and seemed heasitant to unload with his famous punches. Howard stayed busy with a variety of takedowns and karate kicks. Hamano managed to land a stinging combo at the end of the first round but Howard had done enough to win the round on the judges scorecards. Hamano turned it up a notch in round 2 and started to land punishing counterpunches. Howard's nose started pouring blood and it was clearly bothering him. As soon as Howard reached to wipe the blood from his nose, Hamano shot in and took him down while he was distracted. A series of powerful punches was enough to convince Howard to tapout and the Hamano notched his 1st succesful defense. It wasnt a particularly dominant performance from Hamano and with Yokoi, Inoue and RUSTON looming on the horizion, Hamano and the belt could soon part ways.

ALOHABRAWL II-Match 4-Taiyo Kea (Shootwrestling/Hawaii) vs. Akebono (Sumo/Hawaii)

Local products AKEBONO and Taiyo Kea both made their names in Japan in SUMO and Pro-Wrestling respectively. Akebono had participated in the 1st ALOHABRAWL tournament reaching the finals but this would be Kea's 1st time in the cage. It was clear when the bell sounded that Akebono was in poor shape for this fight. Kea battered him with strikes and showboated in the 1st round much to the displeasure of some of the fans. Akebono offered little offense and his defense consisted of simply absorbing a beating. In the 2nd round after taking a punch to the face, Akebono simply turned around and walked back to the corner. Kea looked a little surprised but resisted the urge to hit Akebono in the back. Akebono told the ref he was tired and Kea won on verbal submission due to exhaustion.

Local legend Enson Inoue made a succesful debut in ALOHABRAWL against supertough Japanese pro-wrestler Alexander Otsuka. No stranger to fighting, Inoue came out like a rabid dog. Inoue's energy seemed endless as he relentless attacked Otsuka with strikes and submission attempts. To his credit, Otsuka showed a ton of heart weathering the storm. Otsuka even managed to land a few solid shots of his own staggering Inoue on occasion. In round 2 it was just too much and Inoue finally landed the pay-off punch. Otsuka finally crumbled at 2:33 and the fight was over. Inoue immediately called for a fight with Kaleo Hamano. Both men have known each other since childhood and a showdown would be a HUGE event on the island.

ALOHABRAWL II-RUSTON (Vale Tudo/Brazil) vs.Dan Bobish (Wrestling/USA)

Brazilian native RUSTON moved to Hawaii several years ago and had quickly made a name for himself when he got in a beach brawl with several members of the North Shore's notorious "Wolfpack" surf gang. After hospitilizing three members of the Wolfpack, RUSTON was accepted on the Northshore for his surfing ability, his fighting ability and his laid-back attitude. RUSTON had been a famous Vale Tudo fighter back in Brazil and would seem to fit perfectly in the ALOHABRAWL organization. RUSTON would be taking on American wrestler Dan Bobish who has an extensive resume of pro-wrestling, amatuer wrestling and freestyle fights all over the world. The fight kicked off with a bang and Bobish quickly bulled RUSTON to the mat. With both men well over the 220 lb mark fans wondered if the cage would hold up. Bobish bullied RUSTON and slammed him to the mat several times. Ruston couldnt find his range to strike but was able to use his BJJ skills to limit the amount of damage Bobish could do to him. Bobish clearly won the 1st round but was tiring towards the end. The 2nd round opened up with RUSTON landing a 1-2 punch that dropped Bobish to hand hands and knees. Ruston followed up with a series of vicious knees to Bobish's head that forced him to tapout. After coming out like a whirlwind, Bobish had folded quickly under pressure. Though not a true native, RUSTON is definitly a local favorite and he seems destined for a shot at the ALOHABRAWL title belt.

ALOHA BRAWL II Match 1-Hirotaka Yokoi vs. Jimmy "SUPERFLY" Snuka

There was an air of excitement when professional wrestling legend Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka entered the ring. Although originally a native of Fiji, Snuka definitly had the island of Hawaii behind him in this fight. His opponent Hirotaka Yokoi was a Judo specialist with a lot of experiance in free-fighting. The fight opened up with Snuka charging across the ring throwing wild punches. Yokoi easily neutralized him and threw him to the mat with a textbook Judo throw. It quickly became clear that Snuka had no "real fight" training and would have to rely on his brawling and athleticism in this fight. It wouldnt be enough as Yokoi battered him with pinpoint punches and effortlessly threw him around the ring like a ragdoll. Snuka showed the heart of a lion and fought back bravely but was clearly overmatched. Snuka managed to survive the 1st round and the local crowd gave him a standing ovation as he staggered back to his corner with his hands up in the "shaka brah" sign. The 2nd round didnt last long...Snuka came out swinging desperately trying to land a homerun but ran facefirst into a right hand from Yokoi. Snuka crashed face-first into the mat and the fight was over. Snuka lay in the ring for nearly 5 minutes before being helped from the ring...Yokoi showed a lot of class by being one of the people helping Snuka back to the dressing room and the crowd gave the legendary Snuka another standing ovation. Yokoi shows a ton of promise and could be a definite force here in ALOHABRAWL. He will have to prove himself against a more skilled opponent but he could very well be championship material.

After a much more succesful then expected debut, ALOHABRAWL has moved to the Aloha Stadium for it's 2nd show.....Several financial backers offered to fund ALOHABRAWL II and it is expected to be one of the biggest sporting events on the island....Already confirmed is a title defense with Kaleo Hamano Akebono, pro-wrestling legend Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka and Hawaiian fighting legend Enson Inoue are all scheduled to appear.

Aloha Brawl Crowns its 1st Champion!!!

Local favorite Kaleo Hamano brawled his way through a 4 man tournament thrilling fans and winning the ALOHABRAWL belt along the way. Hamano who is the younger brother of famous fighter Taiki Hamano is known on the beaches of Hawaii for his happy-go-lucky attitude and his fists of dynamite. Hamano easily beat Japanese shootwrestler Yoshiki Takahashi in the 1st round with a choke. On the other side of the tournament, Hawaiian legend Akebono took on Japanese Karate fighter Tomohiko Hashimoto. Akebono was a legendary Sumo champion in Japan but is now trying his hand at ALOHABRAWL style fighting. Akebono managed to overwhelm the much smaller Hashimoto finally knocking him out in the 2nd round. The finals would be an all-Hawaiian affair with Akebono meeting Kaleo Hamano. Hamano would be fighting a man who weighed over twice as much as he did. The 1st round was Akebono's as Hamano was tentative and avoided exchanges. Akebono was quickly tiring and in round 2, Hamano pounced. Hamano unloaded a vicious assault on Akebono but ran out of time. Wasting no time in round 3, Hamano quickly managed to knock Akebono down and finished him off with punches on the mat. Hamano quickly rushed over to check on Akebono and told him "nothing personal brah" before celebrating with his older brother and corner men. Hamano will be a popular attraction here on the island and ALOHABRAWL will only get bigger.....
